Via Belluzer´s piece in The Value today I learned Lara Rezende is asking not to be called an economist anymore. He said that Economics has absorbed too much of bad math, rendering the field useless.
I sense Lara Rezende cant solve a Hamiltonian, or a Bellman´s equation, and this hurts his pride as a macroeconomist. And the easiest way is to attack the whole lot of model-based theory.
I pitty you, Lara Rezende.
I propose a new prize, "Lara Rezende Non-Model Non-Economist Prize", or L.R.N.M.N.E.P.
I only will award the Prize at any time I see fit.
Ok, the first L.R.N.M.N.E.P goes to BELLUZER !!!
For criticising Lucas and Sargent even if he can´t read a single paper they published
